For all those wondering

Moustache is currently in bunker mode. The band has selected 10 songs: nine Moustache standards and a 10th new song to be mercilessly practiced for its upcoming January recording sessions. The album, tentatively entitled "These Are Our Demands," will comprise the band's first full-length LP, and will be made available at shows and online.

Photos, Photos, Photos

Friday night's gig went off swimmingly, and featured a video crew, a professional photographer, and some lady dancing on the bar. Those that missed it: feel sorry for yourself...now.

Anyway, here are just some of the excellent shots taken by our good friend Constance (who, by the way, was not particularly impressed by Grant's observation that St. Augustine once remarked, "Give me constancy Lord, but do not give it yet.")

Friday. 9pm. Phyllis'. Why say no, when it feels so good to say yes?

The 'Stache Has Returned!

The summertime blues no longer holding sway over our tempermental moods, Moustache is back in the saddle and ready to rock. To that end, we're going to be at Phyllis' Musical Inn on Friday, Sept. 8th from 10-12 or so. When we're done with you, you'll have just enough energy left to chug one more beer, headbut the dog, and pass out.

Look at this tasty delight the good Rev. conjured up:

Walk there. Drink beer. Rock.

Summertime...and the livin' is easy

The MoustacheNation is currently on summer vacation.

Grant and Dan are off to sunny Spain and not-so sunny Ireland for a month and a half. Their journey can be followed at: www.travelpod.com/members/grantgholson

Ben is making his Chicago stage debut in Peter Mayhew's Much Ado About Nothing.

Nate was going to go build homes in New Orleans, but decided instead to loaf around Chicago in search of good barbeque.

Business Manager and Assistant Road Manager Andy will be meeting up with Dan and Grant in Spain for two weeks before returning to the job that keeps him going.

Art Director and Assistant Road Manager Tony will be in Ireland for three weeks, and he has a family to think about.

Preston D. Flesch is engaged in hair removal full-time. Not for himself, but for others.

Moustache has already booked a date at Phyllis' Musical Inn in mid-September. After a string of gigs, the boys will head back to the studio to record a full-lenght album due out in the fall.

And my brother's back at home, with his Beatles and his Stones...

If you're interested in hearing the kind of music that turns us on, click on the following link:

http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/

Once there, click on the "Vault Radio" tab. Run the media player, and you'll be in late 60s/Early 70s blues-rock, hippie-era heaven. This is a fantastic project, and whoever Wolfgang is, he knows more about that scene than anyone alive.

Also cool is the collection of posters and t-shirts.
